ACCU launched a new community-based project, the "Contest for Better Practices in Communities' Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Revitalisation" in 2007. The International Jury Meeting of the Contest was held in Japan, and seven communities which were successful in safeguarding or revitalising ICH, especially through youth participation were selected. ACCU invited representatives of the awarded seven communities to the workshop, together with one from a guest community, to share their experience and discuss current issues. The workshop included a field trip to Kurokawa district which is one of the awarded communities in Japan. The final report consists of a booklet which includes full proceedings, expert's comments and participants list, and the CD-ROM includes visual presentation materials of the participants.
